What is the best way to start learning to code? Want to learn something thay can be real world valuable experiece and not just youtube tutorials. Took matlab and c++ in college. Thanks!
If this is for something genuinely "I want to learn how to code", then choose your own project. Start learning how to build it. If this is for a job search, then read this: https://www.rooftopslushie.com/request/How-to-get-into-FAANG---proper-plan-with-sources-241
"Learning to code" is to broad to get any meaningful feedback. Are you trying to make basic websites or work on enterprise software? Are you doing this as a hobby or is the goal to be a FAANG SWE? What is your day job today?
Which path is better in your opinion? Websites or enterprise software?
Depends on your answer to the question after that. If you're trying to join the TC or gtfo club, enterprise. If you just want a hobby to show off to friends or whatever, you can do more faster with websites.
Definitely want to try to build something with the language or framework you have an interest in.
build a simple game like tic tac toe
