Hello,
I work in OCI now and I don't enjoy my work, I want to move to either Google or Facebook or any other good company. Oracle just applied for my I485 so I need to wait for 6 months to move out. so I can move in Jun but my RSUs get vested in December and I have around 150k every year on RSU. so if I move in the middle of the year I will lose those RSUs. I am not sure should I prepare and interview and move after 6 months and lose those RSUs or wait until the end of the year to get those RSUs? please help me
level: IC3
TC: 310

Get the offers first, then decide whether you want to jump. You can easily negotiate a signing bonus to cover lost RSUs.
The more interesting dilemma is your green card application.
Regarding 485, I would wait until I’ve gotten my approval before moving.
If that’s not the case however, then, feel free to move now.
