I’m currently a trader at a small hedge fund that focuses on a very niche product (not transferable to traditional corporate finance/IB/PE).
I did very well in my current role, but none of it is transferable outside my very niche area. I do use some basic Python/R/SQL for work and do hackerrank for fun with my gf (she’s in DS).
Is it possible to transition into a business role (buiz dev, corp dev, strategy, finance) at a tech company? Does anyone have experience transitioning that they can share?
I’m trying to exit as my hours are causing health issues, and I don’t enjoy trading.
I’d appreciate any advice / recommendations.
