Hello Everyone,
How's Industry team at SF. Saw many bad reviews about it.

Should I ignore that test link and apply for other orgs to avoid cool down period??

What should I do?
Recruiter reached out to me and have send a test link.
Want to join SF but got conscious after reading orgs reviews.

Any comments please.
If its bad can you name few good orgs please

    Run away and don’t look back.

    If joining Salesforce is your primary goal, go with CDP or Security org or IAM team (under security) or even Marketing cloud.

      Because as a whole company, Salesforce’s WLB is better than most other companies in the tech industry, PayPal and msft included. But this WLB comes at a cost and the cost is the bad tech stack, slow pace of work, internal politics etc. I don’t know what “hype” you’re talking about. Salesforce is a tier-2 tech company if not tier-3. It will depend where you’re coming from.

      If you’re coming from PayPal it is undoubtedly an upgrade for you.

      Can anyone here shed some lights on the security/IAM team? Received an offer recently and I am not sure if it is worth joining as there were so many negative reviews regarding the security org.

  • I’d say don’t decide based on team. You can very easily move to another team. The time you’d have to spend before you can make the move, can be utilized to learn the ecosystem which is essential no matter which team you go to. So decide based on hike and role. If and only if you get both the options at hiring time, choose the better team, otherwise don’t lose the opportunity.

  • Don’t join SF unless u want to retire , lot of approval process decades old tech stack no innovation , waiting for year to complete to get out

    • Mostly internal Apex Lightning Web framework
      Internal abstraction over Spring Java based tech but the main problem is their architecture they have a big monolith application which is a real pain to work with and you don’t learn anything from it since no one uses monolith now
