Seems to me like gcp is growing fast but is still a bet for google. What are the odds of gcp failing and google laying gcp folks off? Thanks

IDK if this applies if you're getting needs improvement on your perf, or on a PIP, but for people that wouldn't be getting fired before the layoffs, it's a free vacation.
growing rapidly. All of them worked for GCP.
If you look at the average return on investment, that means an additional $45 Billion in Cash profits for Amazon and Microsoft per year. If Google isn't getting a significant part of that pie, it's going to get crushed. Cause Amazon will come for them.
So while neither MS nor Amazon have anything to eat google trillions (in market cap), google with GCP has a decent chance at multi trillion dollar market cap increase with cloud.
So even at 10% of the 200 billion dollar spend, that’s 20 billion in revenue and enough to keep the competition alive for AWS. Google is not getting crushed even if it’s market share does not increase. On the other hand, should Google’s market share from cloud increase, MS in particular and Amazon to an extent can actually get “crushed” as you put it.
