first of all, I'm not HR timeline: joined amazon 3 yrs ago as SDE II, no sign of getting promoted so far, switched teams 3 times due to some bad "signs" blind told me I read a lot of posts on blind before joining amazon, back then I had an offer from snowflake as well, but choosing amazon was a no brainer for me since nobody knows the future of snowflake. I left my first team due to a big re-org, my manager and skip manager left amazon, two of my favorite Sr colleagues switched team, and the new manager was a TPM, he said I'm going to be the go to guy in the team (duh...two sr left), switching from a TPM is THE red flag for me based on numerous posts on blind, I don't want to wait for you to grow I left my second team because the mgr constantly telling me hey you will get promoted in 6 months let's just finish the current project strong, all the time the feedback is pretty shallow, "you are doing very well, your colleagues love you, skip loves you", there's no real constructive feedbacks, this is another RED flag based on the knowledge blind gives me I left my third team because I became the guy with the least experiences in the team after a while, and I started getting constructive feedbacks from mgr, I panicked and thought I would definitely be the URA target next quarter I'm doing interviews while executing MCMs in my fourth team, this is the end of my sad career in amazon, it's like a self-fulfilling prophecy thing, in this case, predicted by blind. I still remember the first team lunch in amazon, I showed a funny blind post to my mgr and he said delete the app right now. I should listen yoe: 5 TC: 230k (no refresh in the last 3 yrs)
Man are you seriously implying bunch of shitposters ruined your career?
You showed your boss Blind at the first team lunch? Slow down cowboy.
You lost me at the point where you chose Amazon over snowflake.
There's a lot of valuable insight in this app. And a lot of stupid shit.. you gotta have the brains to disambiguate
Imagine actually taking advice from this app 😂😂😂
Username checks out.
You can't be so naive and gullible about advice on here. There's a lot of agnsty posters here who love to watch the world burn. Don't take everything said at face value. And definitely never show teammates or management you're using it... There's occasional nuggets of wisdom that are helpful but if you make every career move people here tell you to make, or believe every shitpost, you're gonna have a bad time.
Occasional nuggets of wisdom=annual pay range posts. The rest, nothing.
You aren't a kid. Have Backbone; Disagree and Commit
Dont forget to *git push*
But my cr isn't approved yet
how do you you didn't dodge 3 bullets? Rarely people survive this long at amazon like you
I don't get it. You got constructive feedback and you thought you were target for URA?
