How's the attrition rate at your company/org?

A lot of dropboxers have been leaving this year which is really sad. I think my org (dropbox core, engineering/design) has a projected attrition rate of 40% this year if folks leave at the current rate. We have also been onboarding as many folks which is a huge drain between interviewing and onboarding duties...

The biggest reasons given were the shift to perm-wfh and slowed career/business growth. And folks are been not as eager to change jobs last year because of covid uncertainty so I think a lot of the attrition was backlog from 2020. This could be like the tech variant of the Great Resignation?

I am curious if other companies and orgs are seeing a similar pattern? For new and shiny unicorns like stripe and coinbase probably not. :)

OCI is seeing accelerating attrition of top talent due to grind and lack of vision.

A lot of it is due to the expansion of remote jobs meaning I no longer have to leave my east coast state to work at some of the top tech companies on the west coast

When mgrs take ppl for granted over sustained periods of time this happens. Also funny that Lyft thinks return to office is no biggie on attrition. It's ironic because they are aggressively expanding in Mexico and Kiev instead soooo i guess the writing is on the wall. Taxi company through and through.
