Apple
I’ve heard mixed reviews. How long do your coworkers usually stay there 🍎
Apple givea out retention bonuses, that is straight up answering what you asked In terms of how long to stay depends on org, some are toxic
I feel like that list doesn’t take into account like how easy it is to get complacent at some of those companies…. I have a few friends who worked/still work at NG and they all HATE it. Only reason they stayed so long is because you get so used to being treated like shit and the skills you learn in DoD is so niche that its super hard to switch industries. Plus they give you pension. So just because turnover is low doesn’t necessarily mean people are the happiest.
but OP never mentioned happiness, lol
I used to work at Northrop, like you said, people get complacent and can’t leave because they can’t pass interviews lol your skills just erodes as time passes. Everyone there hates what they do, but it’s just easy and chill work
Qualcomm
At LM right now, definitely feels like you can go do whatever you want if you tell your manager you're unhappy and you're competent. Don't like working on old shit? Skunk works and F-35 are hiring Feel like your skills are falling behind? We will pay you by the hour to go do training Unhappy with your WLB? Take whatever hours you want-we can put you on part time
Sounds like a dream in terms of flexibility
Less churn at Verizon because you have a ton of boomers who couldn’t get hired anywhere else.
