I've worked at AWS as an Applied Scientist and at Salesforce in the Einstein team as a research engineer. Amazon is a much more mature technology where you'll learn more from more senior engineers who have a higher quality bar for work. I *highly* recommend taking this option over Salesforce, which I still believe is figuring out its tech stack. Salesforce had acquired a handful of companies (>5) over the last few years and they are still consolidating them and only recently offering FAANG-like comp to keep people's interest, but I don't think you'll grow professionally as much in this environment. Please DM me if you'd like more insight.

  • Do you have experience from another country or are you a PhD applied scientist? That’s the only way I can imagine Amazon making that type of offer to a new grad.

That stock could be worth close to 1m in 4 years at amazon. But really seems like wlb vs money.

  • As a recent grad I’d take the Amazon offer. Get your experience, work your ass off, earn your scars while you’re young. Move to Salesforce after a few years.

I’m glad I was at Amazon before Salesforce, it helps me appreciate what I have now.

  • Yoe? Is Salesforce LMTS?
    Also, Salesforce!

    • First and foremost the wlb. If your manager trusts you to deliver, they'll trust you with wfh and flexibility . Sure you can find a team in amazon that does something similar but the odds aren't likely going to be in your favor .

Have you checked medical plans ? Sfdc plans are pretty good next to g,f and ms .

Given that bonus, it had to be an MTS offer though the rest is lmts level.
