I will keep it plain and simple, there had been a massive earthquake (7.0 in magnitude) recently in Aegean Sea and resulted with buildings collapsed in Izmir, a densely populated city in Turkey. Some innocent lives are lost and somehow a sick fuck named Maxime Rastello (https://www.linkedin.com/in/maximerastello/) an Microsoft MVP decided to make a shout-out with cheer for the death of people whom even includes children and elder because of their nationality.

While this guy is in Geneva, I am almost sure such people has enough power to ensure other engineers do not advance in their career because racism.

We have ethics line in Amazon but cannot something similar on the Microsoft side. I'd like to report this fuckery directly and ensure it's been heard on the Microsoft's HR's side. Not only on Twitter mentions.

Do you have such e-mail addresses in Microsoft? If so, could you be so polite to share it?

#Microsoft #tech

EDIT: Found the address of business conduct since he's not a direct employee (apparently) https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/legal/compliance/sbc/reportaconcern

But still will keep this page for the sake of having record on bigotry.

EDIT 2:

Scott Hanselmann: “The person to whom these comments were attributed is not, and never has been a Microsoft employee. As a result of a clear breach of conduct his status as a Microsoft MVP has been rescinded.” – A Microsoft spokesperson

@Sword_Group: “The employee in question therefore has been dismissed on grounds of gross misconduct with immediate effect.“

@Sword_Group reaffirms its commitment to equality, decency and respect at all times.

  • What is unethical here? It seems he was going after the political regime and not poor people from the earthquake. What would be your reason to fire him? Because of publishing sensitive content? We need freedom of speech now more than ever.

“Supporting Muslims when many families are hurt by radical Islam supporters is offensive to many people as well. That's my point.”

Your statement is very narrow minded. There is more than one branch of Muslims, just like in other religions. Not all Muslims support radical Islams. Just like how not all Christians support the views of Westboro Baptist Church.

Horse shit guess u don’t know much about Islamists
Not all may not support them but majority of them do and that’s the problem
Anyways this nonsense of identifying people based on their posts and going after them to ruin their lives is next level of stupidity
Clearly the post was in bad taste but it was not promoting any hatred towards any community
And your being a whining bit**

I am quite sure there is. Report this MF and make some noise about it. If he was at G he would have been fired right away

      OP
I just couldn't locate it yet but will make sure to notify Microsoft about it. Also, there's an ongoing rage for tagging Microsoft and Satya of course. Yet, I doubt if it'll be reaching somewhere since he decided to "hide" his tweets. Therefore, want to make sure Microsoft to be aware of their partners/employees.

    • We have an internal website to report misconducts. MVPs are not employees though. I think they are like "influencers". But there should be a way to report.

This guy sounds trashy but unless you have a personal axe to grind with them isn’t this just cancel culture at its finest?

Canceling someone because they have a religious or political view is one thing.

This guy cheered foe the deaths of others... crosses the line in my book.

I loath cancel culture, don’t think this fits that bill.

You've got execs with sexual harassment cases and corruption scandals. And that flies by, but someone exercising their free will of speech gets fired. Dont throw a hissy fit if something doesnt fit your world views. Cultural and national ties run deep. What he did was reprehensible, but not illegal. Seems like OP had a vendetta against this person.

Not to mention doxxing the person here. And making unsubstantiated claims that this person would have prevented careers of others. Guess what, the world is full of ppl like these. Most don't show it. Look up the recent green card thread and you'll see a ton of hatred against indians and chinese.
