Want to quit before securing new role, but worried about insurance and resume gap

Fourth year VP
Been at GS a long time. So burnt out and feel as though it's affecting my performance. Think I have the opp for much better TC somewhere else. Ready to move on.

Have tried to look at other roles at other firms, but so busy with current work and mind is so fried, feel like I need to quit first to 1) take a break mentally 2) have chance to properly network/think before taking on next big role.

Does anyone know of decent private health insurance and associated costs? I am a woman so need decent insurance :)

Also thoughts on someone taking a break in between firms..my biggest concern is if I don't I'll still be so burnt out coming into a new role and want to make a good first impression. #finance #jobhunt

Job search can easily take 3-6 months, personally I wouldnโ€™t want to go that long unpaid.

From a resume perspective I donโ€™t think it matters if you leave, no one will care, but it seems really stressful from a personal finance perspective. Iโ€™d suggest trying to scale back and do the bare minimum at work while basically making your job search your main objective. Once you get another offer you can always negotiate start date to give yourself a month off in between which would be great.
