How much transitional time are Airbnb providing to H1B holders?

Uber is providing a month transitional work period (keep your payroll for another month while giving you some “work”). Just curious about Airbnb’s policy for H1B holders as we’ve heard so much respect Airbnb had shown to its employees.

Lyft gave only 10 weeks of severance, and 0 months of transitional time for H-1B visa holders, (unlike Airbnb) asked employees to ship their laptops back, and - here's the best part - offered to give 4 weeks of transition time IN EXCHANGE OF 4 WEEKS OF SEVERANCE!!!

Inside the company, they call everyone a family.. and present this image that they are more compassionate than Uber.

By strategically being the first ones to layoff among Uber and Airbnb, they got away with murder.

The H-1B employees laid off from there are now desperately gasping for air as they have only 2 months...

Guess you see the true face of someone in the time of adversity :(

^^ I think what jk0 meant was that they should not have exploited this situation and should have been compassionate to do both. (For H1b work for extra 4 weeks before terminating their visas and also get the severance package). I thought Lyft had a better work environment than uber .

I don’t get it, if the are paying you severance anyways, what difference does it make for them to just pay it like payroll for that period of time?

So, that would give ~90 days for H1B employees to find a job... great to know that from Uber!

For layoffs it's different, lot of them are covered by WARN. Just FYI, My company was based in California and we were told that we will be getting 60 day notice due to law, even though employments were at will
