Got an offer from Amazon for 275 TC. I had previously turned down an offer 9 months ago and they gave this to me with no interviewing. Current salary as Capital One is 150K. I am really happy where I’m at in Capital One and love my team, but that’s a lot of money. Does capital one counter offer?

We very rarely counter because people who wanted to leave tend not to stay anyway, and we don’t want to set a precedent for people to interview just to negotiate their salary. I have seen retention bonuses but frankly as a PA we are unlikely to do more than maybe talk about promotion trajectory etc.
