They ask stupid questions like this post above they always assume that leadership and company is always doing right. They start with the perspective that someone lower down in the hierarchy cannot see their incompetency and how they got their position only through the usual political means.
It's sad most ICs don't realize right or wrong or toxic is decided by who is in power and power has nothing to do with skill, talent, or meritocracy
