Hey guys- My husband and I will be moving to Bay Area by Fall this year. We don’t have kids and so school district isn’t a concern. What is a good area to buy a home in?
We are looking for:
1. Good Bars and restaurants at walking or bus-sing distance.
2. Decent walking score and public transport.
3. Within 30 min drive from Sunnyvale, MtnView, Santa Clara and San Jose.
4. Budget of <1.5M. Prefer a not too big single family home or maaaybe a townhome with 2 floors
We have our sights on San Mateo, Redwood City etc. I love Berkeley/Emeryville but it looks really far for commute.
Do you guys have any other suggestions?
Thanks.
Combined TC: 500K ish.

You probably could find a 2 bd townhome that is slightly older but still have a patio or small backyard in Mountain View or Sunnyvale that fits your criteria.
