Is no news from recruiter is a Bad news ?

I have given an interview at fast growing startup in Bay Area, a month back and haven’t heard back from recruiter. The portal(jobvite) shows ‘in process’. I reached out to the recruiter, he told me that he will get back , once he has some news.
Reaching out to him again and again makes me look like I am desperate.

So is this a bad news?
