How easy is it to switch teams within SpaceX?

If I were to apply to the Starlink team in SpaceX for a position based in Mountain View, CA, how difficult would it be to switch to a different team based in Hawthorne, CA or TX, such as the Starship team?

In general, how flexible is SpaceX with location and team changes?

    It used to be very easy but I think going from starlink to starship is hard now. Org is split pretty high up.

    Usually managers will be understanding, of course there’s always the exception. Casually bring it up during your weekly one-on-one meeting and see what they say. They will def need to be involved with the process since they need to approve the transfer and have a contingency plan in place
