I’m currently using Geico, used to have Progressive before. Geico charges me $650 for 6 months, which is for comprehensive insurance which i have to select, because i have a leased car. I have to renew insurance until mid-January, and i’m looking for ways to reduce the cost of insurance. I drive 5K max per year (just 3.5 this year). Any suggestions on reducing carinsurance cost? I keep getting ads from Amica and Metromile, but i’m not sure how reliable they are.
2nd for Metromile.
Rooooooooot!!!!
In my experience Geico offered the best bang for the buck... And I had no issues with them handling a claim (total loss, not my fault). You might want to call them though and check what mileage you are paying for... and reduce it if you drive less. I saved couple hundred bucks just by doing that. You can't do that online, unless you're changing address. You need to call them. I pay around $700 for two cars (2017 Subaru Outback and 2018 Ford Focus, both leased) / 6 months.
Nationwide
If you plan to stay a low mileage customer, nothing beats metromile.
How do they track mileage?
Through a device you have to plug in your car. You can also download their app and track the miles, and location of your car.
I’m using Metromile for a year now. And they’re really amazing.
DM me if you’ve any question.
How much does it cost though?
