Take Washer Dryer to Bay Area?

Should I bring my washer / dryer from out of state to the bay area. Shipping is free.

I will be renting an apartment. Seems that some of them stack WD to share space. Mine aren't great for that. And some places already have WD.

I bought them like 5 years ago and haven't used them for the last 3. Probably would only get $100 each. I could just donate them to a charity actually (ideas welcome if you know of a charity)

I just don't want to get there and need to buy new or have less renting options. In-apartment WD is important to me.
