Barefoot networks
How is barefoot networks doing? I know it has good hype. But does it make sense to join over big companies like Cisco, juniper etc ? I have around 13 years of exp. How much can I expect as TC

What domain? Read the Glassdoor reviews.. base salary is really low and they’ll sell you on options. Two years ago they were giving people with ~10 years experience about 160k base and 45000 shares. You’d make a lot more money at Juniper for sure. Or other startups like Pensando or Fungible. New CEO is focusing on cutting costs. First chip was really late to market. Source: former employee.
late to market compared to what? Does Juniper even pay more than 160k TC?
Broadcom’s chip was almost 6 months earlier. It’s a direct competitor. Juniper pays upwards of 200k in hardware for 13 years of experience and upwards of 300k for software, in select groups. Pensando is throwing around 200k base, too. For all domains.
