What happens if Amazon h1b transfer is rejected?

Hi All,

I saw similar posts but none is recent one.
I am just curious to know if anyone has been through this situation where h1b transfer was denied.
Did Amazon move you to some other place outside US or they simply rescinded the offer?

American jobs for *eligible* Americans absolutely make sense. However if you look at the demographics of tech university classes, it is quite evident that we aren’t training our citizens for the scale of tech demand that we have currently and will have in the future. Other countries however are training their citizens for this demand. As a hiring manager, I find it tough to hire for good talent, regardless of nationality specifications. And as a result we end up with a huge need to import these skilled workers from other countries. End of the day, I just want to be able to hire the best talent / skilled person that I can find to do a good job on my team regardless of their birth lottery status. So unless the US solves for the inadequate scale of tech training, this policy will only hurt our tech industry.

I know you’re sincere, but that’s the same lame argument that the tech billionaires who run our industry use to keep from having to spend more on paying Americans. There’s no reason why the entire graduating CS class from Wayne State University couldn’t be hired. Surely the quality of education they’re receiving is just as good as the one that Savitribai Phule Pune University provides.

Depends on HM who has the role open in Canada, UK etc. Sometimes they want a loop, sometimes the notes are enough. If the role is L6 or L5 (people manager) the HM is probably going to want to talk to you. If it's L7 couple of regional leaders might want to talk to you.

I don’t buy the argument that H1Bs are paid lesser than Americans. Politicians use this phrase often coz they know it sounds believable and no ones verifying the authenticity of the statement. Every company needs to prove to the government when they are hiring an H1B candidate, that they are paying market competitive pay structures, and it isn’t easy to fake that, as all the hiring managers in a company would need to be brought into that conspiracy. Even here on Blind, you can see H1Bs sharing their high TCs, and talking about their Tesla’s and their high risk investment plans, all of which shows they aren’t underpaid. Going back to my original point, as a hiring manager, I just want to hire good talent and I’m willing to pay whatever the company approves for a level, regardless of nationality. And the reality is that I still find it tough to hire based on the skills and experiences that I’m looking for. I don’t know much about the Wayne State University job stats for their graduating class. I highly doubt that their tech graduates are languishing without jobs while H1Bs with the exact same skill set are coming and taking those fat jobs, which pay them for their Tesla’s. The truth is that we need many more American men and women to join tech courses in universities to meet the demand of the tech companies in our country.
