Re-Posting for my brother to see if I could get more inputs ( I had one response that gave some insight- thanks). When I posted this last time, there were more exiting happenings and I guess this thread was lost in the deluge :). Just a last try.

In my brothers own words :

" Hi, I have 5+ years of experience as an Enterprise storage and backup admin with 2 + years of implementation experience as well in Hitachi, EMC, HPE ,DELL NETAPP, NETBACKUP ,TSM technologies. I have a bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
I want to do a Master's degree relavant to my work experience to augment my skills ( also my employer is willing to sponsor my MS). Can any one please suggest me which school or program has a relavant course work to my area of expertise? "

Thanks in advance for your inputs!

MS can help rebrand yourself. If you want to be an engineer CS MS from a top school would help you break in.

Storage can be all over the place from NAND and hard drive to server load balancing.

I have seen a lot of high performer and earner in the industry that has non engineering degree. Adding an MS doesn't really do much for compensation.

Learning on the job is best, from a good company. If you must go for an MS go for a top school or it isn't going to do much on top of your BSEE.

Or do part time sponsored by employer, Georgia Tech is good with online program.

Thanks for the responses. From what I gathered so far, it seems MS may not add much compared what on the job training gives for this area. Will pass on to check for the program in Georgia Tech.

@ TIpb60: Is it the job nature you are asking about? He worked so far in enterprise storage area networks using the technologies from different vendors. Duties include enterprise backup, cloud storage admin (azure), net backup.
