Google is literally always a down level. It’s super frustrating that they down level everyone. Is there any room for negotiation? I know that Google will usually match or come close to competing offers.

I’d probably rather work at Google than AWS as the culture at Amazon is absolute garbage. However, the remote nature of the role is also a huge factor for me. I love being remote

  • As a former AWS L6 PMT, didn’t last 3 months. The guy next to me didn’t last 4 months. Worked weekends and nights with a bunch surrounded by really smart stressed out people. Yes I saw people cry after reviews…

Come up with a back up plan before starting, because you won’t have a lot of time to think of one while working

      OP
So you were L6 sr pmt at amazon aws 4 years ago for 4 months and now going back to amazon retail 4 years later at the same level? What did you do in between?

    • Closer to 3 than 4, non PM work. But it’s super common to stay as a SrPM for 4 years+. I’m definitely not a superstar and a bit of a coaster. TC for me was about $180 back then

  • You’ll be drowning at Amazon. Not sure if WLB is a point of concern.
