Currently work at Palantir, TC ~260 (200 base / ~$40k equity at current FMV + ~20k bonus). Have an offer for Facebook e5 (100 signing, 200 base, 600 equity + bonus/refreshers). Palantir countered with additional ~$110k equity/year (TC ~370 at FMV) and my manager said I would be insane to leave before IPO.
I like my manager and team a lot but have been feeling burnout recently. Not sure if facebook would be better in that regard, but it would at least be a change in scenery. Is going through the private/public transition a valuable career experience as an engineer? Also trying to figure out how much FAANG matters for the resume.
PS I hate leetcode so getting another FAANG offer later is possible but not guaranteed.

It's generally not a good idea to stay at the same company once you show your intent to leave and get offered to stay.
FB has wlb issues in general. Just check blind.
But in general FB would be a good career move.
Facebook is absolutely not one of those companies.
Additionally, the FB offer will likely still be there if you decide you want it 6 months from now.
