I need a hand. I'm currently Dir of Engineering [over SWE and DE] at a rapid growth startup and looking for a leadership role at Netflix or LinkedIn for balance of strong pay and good culture/wlb.
Prior exp was 5 yrs as Data Engineering Mgr. [Before that a Sr. SWE & Tech Lead for 5 yrs]
I'm OK taking a downlevel. Looking for best approach tips in going for manager/sr manager role. [straight apply or work w specific recruiter or what]?
Also I haven't done much coding as of late due to my role scope being strategic and these two orgs focus more on leadership over LC from my research. Am I wrong?
What else should I brush up on besides LPs and their core values and such?
Any advice??
