i have an offer from robinhood as a software engineering. im going to probably reject it. In my opinion robinhood wont recover from this and probably wont be able to ipo. will robinhood not recover from this?
You'll make more by shorting their IPO than from your RSUs
This 👆
I would never work for them after today They are done
Yeah it disgusts me I still have robinhood on my phone
Objectively, depends on your competing offers. I’m not sure how I’d value the RH equity part of the offer...
Super done. I wouldn’t go there. Short their IPO instead and make bank.
Transferring my stocks out of RH tomorrow
They won't recover. They are going to lose atleast 50% of their user base.
Already moved to fidelity.
I couldn't get approved for options trading on fidelity lol
Moving brokers are a pain. After today, people will leave. They probably wouldn’t put in the added effort to come back to a platform that fucked them over, even if they have short term memory (why go through the pain). Will they have new users? Sure. Will they get back the lost users, the people who got fucked today? Likely not.
Objectively this will definitely push back their IPO and will significantly decrease the value of any RSUs. If you want to take advantage of the situation I would come back to them and increase your total comp ask by at least 50% before just turning down the offer
Still want to work there after today?
