Asking for a friend. She has 4.5 YOE. Current TC: 290k
Both for senior (L5 and L5a). For some reason google didn’t match uber’s offer:
Uber
196k base, 35k bonus, 715k RSU. Average TC: 410k, due to front load(35/30/20/15), first year TC: 481k, second year TC: 445k, last 2 years: 374k, 338k
Google
197k base, 15% bonus, 542k RSU, sign on: 30k. Average TC 362k, due to front load(33/33/22/12), first year is around 435k(including 30k sign on), second year TC: 405k, last 2 years: 346k, 292k
Google said this is the max they can offer… don’t know how to negotiate higher. Advice appreciated!
She also needs to apply for green card immediately(perm), so processing speed is important. Confirmed that both Uber and Google can start at day1.
What do you think? Would love to hear from people working at either. Thanks!

Encouraging people to Leave or not work?
So, year 1 TC is the Target TC.
From when does Uber start giving refreshers - After completing 2 years?
What's the secret??? Do share with us please 🙏😊
To pass the interview, for google interview, needs some luck :P Generally, prepare and practice coding questions for almost all categories of questions(e.g. DFS, BFS, graph, etc). For system design, read and understand high level of design data intensive application book, also learn Grokking the System Design Interview, other random things like online resources/YouTube videos, eng blogs.
Hope it helps!
