I currently work in finance and I am a mid-career manager. I’d like to make the transition to tech as it aligns more with my interests. I have 10 years of progressive finance experience and have worked at Deloitte and Chevron. I’d be grateful for a referral to a tech company and would be happy to share more information with you as needed. Thank you!

And before you ask , referrals at google are seriously broken, it would be a complete waste of time for me to refer you

Can you be more specific, are you looking to stay in management or are you thinking of moving into a individual contribution role?

Hi there, thanks for the question and interest. I’m currently an individual contributor manager. I know that going into tech may mean I need to come in as a senior analyst as opposed to a manager (given the industry gap), and I am willing to do so. Some jobs that I’d be well-suited for are Corp FP&A, business unit finance, anything with business planning or budgeting, financial modeling, M&A, etc.

Ok by going into tech you actually mean doing your current job but for a tech company, gotcha, unfortunately for this I can’t really help as I’m long time engineer which knows nothing about the financial side of the company, have you tried reaching out to a recruiter?
