What are some optimistic/top of band numbers to ask for, for L3 SWE? Cleared loop last week, recruiter call today.

    Currently in Offer discussion phase. They are hiring me for a L3 position with 4.5 YOE with a possibility of promotion to L4 within 6 months of joining. How do I justify an ask for L4 position during the offer negotiation phase? Also, at what level do they give out the 'Senior' title?

      4.5 YOE is lower end of L3. L4 is 6+. Recruiter is being optimistic about leveling in 6 months. Average time to promote is much longer.
