LinkedIn profile weekly hits

Apr 24, 2018 11 Comments

Per weekly notification, how many LinkedIn profile hits do you usually get vs recruiter inquiries?

I'm feeling mine is low. My resume is rudimentary because I'm not yet looking (but will be soon).

I'm getting about 30ish hits per week but only maybe 1 inquiry a month and it's usually a recruiter pinging about a job that's unrelated but vaguely has a matching key word or so.

Is this low?

I imagine this would depend on your field and location. What do you do?

  • You only want the right hits, and that means having the right keywords (esp. current company name).

  • Put the right keywords into your summary section. Add relevant skills to your profile and a profile picture. Make sure you have at least a few 100 connections.

No, in your summary like the OC says. That’s the blurb under your profile picture. Click the pencil icon to edit that portion and give a catchy, attention getting sentence or two at the top (it makes you stand out when recruiters/sourcers do a keyword search) then list your relevant skills underneath. Relevant skills can be what you know and what you want to do job-wise in a new role. Use the job descriptions to do the whole bit where you explain what you did day-to-day as that job role and try to include an example of “given problem A, I came up with and did solution B, which resulted in C good result for the team/company/project”. Essentially demonstrate problem solving skills and your value contribution in the role in the job descriptions.
