I'm keeping Faangs, Microsoft, Snap, Airbnb, Lyft, Adobe, LinkedIn and Uber in tier 1 for their ridiculous pay, benefits and career growth. What are the best tier 2 companies in software world for a great career growth? Comment if not on the list.
Salesforce? Really?
Adobe is tier 1? Really curious what people think.
Adbe pays well i think
If it is pay based. Salesforce pays higher than Microsoft
Box is tier 3 or 4 ?
is box hiring ? hows interview difficulty ?
Not sure how these companies which have never turned a proft and laid people off by the thousands are considered tier one... but thats just me
Microsoft is one of the best Tier 2 companies you can work for. Tech is second rate but comfy work environment where you can sit back and relax. Apart from the annual layoffs they care about their people.
Very team specific. Lots of politics and randomness. It is not laid back at all in my team. I am getting burnt out.
Sorry to hear that. I worked on many different teams there and I never felt burnt out, though I did periodically feel bored.
You need a none of the above option
Walmart ?
Amazon?
He said apart from faangs
Adobe pay is shit
It’s not! From what I’ve seen it’s very good. Pay is shit at Microsoft.

Cleared Amazon onsite, but lowballed.
Tesla is better than tier 2 IMO
Go work there and check out their eng culture. Low pay relative to other tech companies, unspoken rules about ship once and never look back, little to no guardrails in terms of management. Tesla on the outside is shiny but inside is dirty
it's dirty on the outside too. their vehicle quality is pretty bad. https://www.theverge.com/2020/6/25/21302804/tesla-ranks-last-on-influential-jd-power-quality-survey They rush out vehicles resulting in a lot of flaws.
