How likely is to see wave 2 or 3 of Coronavirus ?
With economy opening I am more skeptical if things will go back to normal any time soon.

Exactly. People refusing to use masks are always assuming that people with high risk just want to go around. They don't, they are scared at home.
Not everyone has the privilege of working from home like you and I. And they not always have the privilege of having even enough physical space and structure to share the space with someone who needs to isolate.
@hitvhdr
Have you read the CDC recommendations for isolating in a shared house? It's impossible to achieve. You need to wipe everything clean several times a day, use masks, gloves, etc.
Not everyone is able to do that.
However, if you are able to go outside and just be out and about, you are way more likely to be able to put a freaking mask on. It's one person making one sacrifice versus a group of people making a ton of sacrifices because of that one person who doesn't want to wear a mask.
You supposedly understand systems and optimization to see clearly what is the easiest and less costly solution. Wear the mask.
Why they are in charge of decision making when it comes to medical / health-safety decisions needed and epidemic and pandemic outbreaks response and direction is beyond me. F’n Republicans are sociopathic. But I digress.
Because we’re unable to have socialistic-capitalism in the US as billionaires and corporations determine the course of our democracy - gerrymandering, citizens-United - and the ethos, deregulation of our economy without protection to workers and jobs, and our rush to reopen, we are guaranteed to have more spikes in COVID19 cases and deaths.
Because we have Politicians in an zeitgeist if taxation without representation, deciding what’s best for us, damaging worker’s rights, unions, giving our wealth-creation and sustaining Factory & Manufacturing jobs to low cost countries with devastating consequences of high unemployment and increased poverty, lack of universal healthcare, we will not be able to have an option to sit still and isolated; people have no option but to get back to work and risk propagating COVID19.
It’s a long list of “Cannot Do” in this great nation of ours. A nation with 11trillion in GDP. And although that will decrease this year, the ruling class of America who does not represent voters, but socializes losses (2008 Financial Bailout) and privatize profits creating and exacerbating the disparity between rich and poor.
We have the means to create and support universal basic income, universal healthcare, universal free education and equal justice for all in this country. It’s not Can’t Do; it’s Won’t Do! There’s too much money to be made off healthcare, education, justice system and mass-incarceration. Greed has become so incredibly sociopathic - we ensure the poor have to work. We ensure the middle class has to work. It’s a pyramid scheme. Time to wake up to the American Dream delusion; wake up to the treadmill that we are shackled to with an alternative to move ourselves to. They don’t care about the risk you or your family put yourself into. “Just f’n work and make me money!”
Herd immunity takes a long long time to achieve; 4-6 years. COVID19 is more severe and deadly than the flu for which we don’t have a vaccine. For most viral infections we don’t have vaccines. Don’t be sold on the idea that we can effectively combat and eliminate COVID19 within a year. Who’s to say COVID19 doesn’t mutate? We can’t control that? How do you build a vaccine for mutations? Getting into the machinery of COVID19 to shut down it’s ability to replicate or even gain access to our cells would be amazing and most likely the best course of action for eliminating the threat. But that’s a long way off. And again, what about mutations and different strains that may already be across global regions today?
As long as keeping the economy going, the status quo going, the American Dream and way-of-life going supersedes taking care of and supporting life - the lives of all - we will incur waves of COVID19 nationally and globally for years to come.
