I would like to ask this question to all immigrants who moved to Canada after suffering from US blood sucking immigration system for many years. Meaning that, they can provide better insights compared to US.
Major questions:
1. Are you happy with less salary in canada than in US, working for tech companies?
2. Do you plan to come back to US on TN visa after becoming Canadian Citizen (need to stay almost 4 years in Canada)?
3. From the point of family planning, is it better in Canada than US?
4. Do you miss the US charm or you compensate it by travelling to US destinations by crossing border whenever you want?
5. Is it worth buying home and car there than in US?
6. Does having a lot of Indians/Punjabi take away that feel of having diverse culture or is that not an issue at all?
Thank you in advance for your time.

2. Yes only if I can't find a way of coming back earlier.
3. US all the way. Canadian Healthcare free as it may be, but is a nightmare. Your family is safer in US. I went to ER once and they are a huge mess.
4. Miss it, for reasons travelling won't fulfill.
5. Buying makes a lot more sense in US because the prices of almost everything are lesser.
6. I'm in BC and yet to find many Punjabis or Indians. Also : Indian food in restaurants is super shit.
Some more : housing in Vancouver/BC is a very big hassle. Expensive apartments, 2BR in only 700sq ft of space. It's intolerable.
This gives more or less accurate comparison between col in different cities.

2 - yes.
3 - a lot depends on individual experience, but so far I am pretty happy with the quality of day care and public school. Can't compare to US, no experience with school system there.
4 - yes.
5 - you can buy house as an investment. It's tax free if it's your primary residence.
