I've been doing resume reviews for people on Slack, Discord, some FB groups, etc pro-bono. Over time, I've collected insights and helped people get their foot through the door for FAANG+ companies with helping them transform their resumes.
(For most people on Blind/in FAANG, you probably already have a good resume and don't need such support)
I'm considering providing my reviews and resume guidance as a paid service, but wanted the Blind community's feedback first.
My initial plan:
1. Make a simple website with a call-to-action and a way to upload resume and contact details
2. Blast FB ads to my target audience (working in tech / startups, interested in FAANG / Bay Area)
3. Hope that someone signs up and pays (will take paypal or something similar for now)
I'm thinking to keep costs low initially, maybe 30-50$ but I aim to go upto 100$ per resume.
What do you guys think, and do you have opinions on such a service?

Though I plan to charge ~$100, it wouldn’t cover the cost of my “time”, per say, given that I earn more than 100$/hour at my full time job.
Suggestion on 2 / marketing, I would also spread new site to people you helped to pass on.
3 Paypal is fine but account for fees and chargebacks
Other payment processors are cheaper/better but clientele need to trust
Good luck, will pm for help with my profile/resume
And don’t listen to people who tell you to “help people for free”. They do realize you’re simply doing the exact same thing your company does right? Create a service that helps people and charge a fair price. Nothing wrong with that
Do you have any suggestions on my plan to get this out?
