Hey guys,
Just received an offer from Amazon for an SDE1 role and wanted an evaluation since this was my first time negotiating.
Current total comp at Mathworks -
Base - 15.7L
Joining bonus - 1L
Stakeholder bonus - 1.3L
Amazon offer -
Base - 16.5L
1st year sign on bonus- 5L
2nd year bonus - 3.5L
RSU - 15L (6 units)
Relocation - 1.5L
First year TC - 23L
YoE - 0.8
I tried negotiating a higher base but the recruiter told me since I had less than a year’s experience, she couldn’t go any higher.

Base can max out at 18 and TC at 25 for sde1.
This is significantly higher than new grad TC though.
Can try negotiating a bit on base and JB but overall there's room for only 2-3 lakhs.
Base - 17L
1st year bonus - 6L
2nd year bonus - 5L
