My h1b transfer was denied. I left my previous employer 6 months ago. Manager doesn't know what to do. They terminated me now, and said it'll take 1 month to refile. My lawyer is saying it's okay to stay in country. I don't trust fragomen. What to do.

I wish you all the best and hope things will get better.
Btw others advice is spot on, get another offer or transfer to another country, get that process started asap. Amazon may be great but you need a valid status and can always go back to them. You got through once, you will get through again. Good luck!
Also ask fragomen to figures out why your case was denied ( hope they didn't screwed up the paperwork). You can always appeal your denial. Assuming yours is a legit petition ( MS in CS and software engineer as a role), there is no reason for USCIS to deny your petition. Push back on Fragomen to figure this stuff out for you. That's why all these big corporations pay tons of money to handle our immigration matters. Good luck OP! Hope this works out.
