You’ve way upleveled the microsoft roles. The people i know who were directors at microsoft and then came to amazon entered amazon as directors or more likely, as senior managers. I don’t know anyone who got a promotion in title going from microsoft to amazon, i’m sure it has happened but so rare to see.
Most of the msft --> amzn movement from my team has been primarily due to a title promotion. They were getting more $s too, but they didn't seem too significant.
Amazon hires MBAs at L6 whereas MSFT hires them at 61. Also devs are paid more at Amazon whereas MSFT Engineering salaries are the same regardless of discipline.
