after 8 years at strtups ans corporations, i thought i might try contract work. for those who have worked both contract and full time, do you have any opinions on contract work? what do you love or hate about contract work?
Like: flexibility, the fact that you need to network and sell so you are forced to have social life of some sort, being your own boss. Dislike: uncertainty, having to pay your own benefits, no 401k and megaroth, if u want to scale u need to do what know very well so work gets boring and repetitive, deadlines are harder, budgets are less flexible, scaling out takes time, legal liabilities, financial planning is more complex expensive and important.
Contracting is more profitable when you can offer a high level of expertise in some niche area. So try to position yourself that way. Google brand should work in your favor.

Any advice for getting started and finding opportunities?
