Brex: 315k + 20k signing bonus
Plaid: 310k + 25k signing bonus
Meta: 311k + 70k signing bonus
Brex and Plaid are remote and Meta is hybrid. How fast is growth and how are refreshers at Plaid? It seems like Plaid is the most chill in general. I’ve also heard Plaid pretty much has a monopoly??? Help
Also, Meta’s offer seems higher because of the signing bonus, but I calculated Brex’s and Meta’s 4 year totals including average refreshers and Brex’s 5% bumps but not including promotions and stock price movement, and theres only small difference in the totals. Not sure about Plaid’s refreshers/raises though

On a serious note, personally I will stay away from any fintech till the broader market can stabilize. Except for banks other fintech companies don’t do too well in recession. We are seeing that unfold!

Either way, there's no confirmation if it has actually dropped by the "50%" that's floating around.
I think most people understand that there are growing pains, but as of now, I can't imagine leaving. To be honest, there are things we could do better. Most of my gripes are compensation-related: a lack of transparency on cash compensation, and more "traditional" benefits like 401k matches, cash bonuses, and equity refreshers for meeting expectations don't really exist here. There's still not a super clear path for getting to E6 either, even though engineering leadership has been working on it for a while.
There are some use-cases like effective fraud scoring, and identity management (with Cognito acquisition) where we have the opportunity to trailblaze.
Junior/mid-level hires will still learn a lot, but this might be less technical and more fintech-industry experience.
Maybe consider what teams/manager you liked the most? And given that two are remote, how much does that mean to you? Would you rather be in office?
