Can anyone from Niantic talk about the culture and wlb. I am worried it being a gaming company the WLB might be pretty bad, but on Blind people say it tends to be good. How many hours do you work on average per week. This is for software engineer role. Also, is the company planning on going public soon?
TC: 230K

I find that our WLB is healthier for engineers if they’re not working on a gaming product. Have seen crunch from time to time to meet feature cutoffs for people who work on our game titles. Our social, platform, and web teams appear to have better WLB.
As far as I can tell, we are not planning to go public anytime soon. I hear speculation that our company is more likely to be acquired than it is to go public.
