what companies/start-ups are hiring for entry-level pm roles or apm roles?
Entry level program roles are easier, then move to product later. I’ve seen entry product roles at lots of mid-size companies like Zillow, Convoy, T Mobile, etc. I think some companies title them Junior Product Manager or Associate Product Manager
PO might be an easier role to get hired in at entry level if you have trouble finding PM gigs. A lot of the POs where I work started right out of college.

Is getting into Microsoft for pm positions difficult? I’m not a new grad, but I definitely always wanted to apply for their program manager role.
Microsoft has the most number of entry product roles because they don't do rotational programs. So I would say no. Honestly product being a new grad role is a very new thing (last 8 years)... Don't be afraid to lateral into product later in your career from SWE, Marketing even management consulting
