    Lol wtf, now is the time to buy in, not dump. Would be a different thing if it were a liquid account, but a 401k is something I intend to draw from at 60, so right now everything is on discount

      I'm up 15% YTD mostly on SH and SDS but that's not a conservative strategy. If by safe you mean losing after inflation then sure, bonds are fine.

      Bingo. Guess what, those going into cash aren't so confident of a crash or else they would have bet everything shorting the market. Likewise those sure it is going up could make a leveraged bet to that effect. Most of those who are so sure of the market and actually act on it get burned
