Based on your risk profile they'll invest change of your every linked account transaction. I would say don't waste time in Acorns as it charges 1$ per month. Instead use any platform to buy those ETF with the money you would invest through acorns. You can also use robinhood for recurring investment. Like 10 bucks every day in a given etf portfolio which Acorns would have created.

Acorns is primarily for people with no self control who are unable to otherwise invest money. It's much better just to invest normally in roboadvisors.

I started few years ago when I was a student. Still keeping it active. Like piggy bank. Just invest 10$ per month plus any change from linked debit card.
