Just started Google interview process for a Policy Lead role. Been practicing behavioral, scenario and process oriented questions.

I know this is a long shot as there doesn’t seem to be a lot of Policy humans on blind, but any guidance or tips and tricks.

What types of questions should one expect outside of behavioral (aka. Tell me about a time you did x questions)?

Same. Got a policy interview at Uber and now have a take home assignment to do, but not a lot of info out there on it.

Unfortunately, this is not something that is required at google or amazon in interviewing. Typically, I’d figure out what gaps the prompts identify in current community guidelines, and draft basic rules, SOPs, and explain how to operationalize the policy. I’d likely do a comparison with the prompt to current guidelines so I can figure out what the company defines as a policy, so I could extract what policy/gap in policy the prompt is trying to identify.

Off the top of my head, I’d format the memo problem statement/executive summary, current state, recommendation/future state this includes writing the policy itself (typically quite short), operationalization of the policy, and how I’d expect the policy to be automated and enforced moving forward within the company.

I don’t know if this is helpful, but that is how it typically worked in my role.
