Boomerang back to Amazon - able to negotiate for the new external hire pay bands / uplevel?

I left Amazon for an uplevel and bigger pay. But Snap stock fell so much and Amazon increased their pay bands, so now Iβd be making more at Amazon even at my old level. At my new level, it would be a significant pay increase to return.
Anyone else done it? Is this possible?

If you've left less than a year ago at level L and trying to boomerang as L+1, then were your case even put up for that L+1 while u were here.
All these factors will come into play and as always u need to ace the interviews at L+1 and RAISE the bar (not meet the bar).

So, net-net the answer to your question is It's Possible and Folks have done it (atleast till L6 to L7). L7 to L8 and above is a whole new game and u won't be able to do that in less than a year.
