Hey everyone, thanks for clicking into this post!

I got in to the loop interview round for a PM position in MSFT(thanks to all the ones who have helped out on prepping for my previous post).

The virtual loop interview contains 4 round (pretty much the entire afternoon)… Iv only got the interviewer’s name for the first interview, the rest will be shared the day before the interview per the HR. And each interview will last for 1 hour.

Anyone has any idea what’s gonna happen in all four hours from high level? (Assuming it won’t be talking about the same thing 4 times?)

Never been to any loop interview this long 😦 any tips are appreciated!

Millions of thanks!!!!!🤗🤗

They changed it up a decent amount the last couple months. They added analytical questions and teams have been given guidance to probe deeper on technical concepts, so you’ll definitely see that during the on-site. I can forward you some resources a principal pm had sent me when I was recruiting earlier in the year, which I found really helpful. Dm me your email and I can forward them!

To piggyback on this post, I’ve always been curious as to how many people interview in the final round for each listed pm position at Microsoft. Is it 3-5 people? More? less?

Is the Program Manager at MS same as a Product Manager? I rarely see Product Manager openings and the Program Manager title is confusing.

So at MSFT, program manager is the closest role to an actual PM. We do have Product Managers, but they roll up the marketing org and don't work with engineers

I’ve done this loop twice and it depends on your team. I’ve had technical round before but also one loop with all behaviourals. I would say it’s quite laid back as long as you’ve prepped the common questions and practice a couple of product design
