Hi, I have a L4 offer with Adobe - San Jose campus. It is widely known that Adobe has a great culture. As I am around 32 now, I am also concerned about - 1. What if I want to move EM role some time in future 2. How are the refreshers for employees in median range Can someone offer their views on these topics TC : 270 Yoe : 8
The top 75% of the team get refreshers and this percentage comes straight from our senior leaderships mouth, so as long as you are semi competent you will get it. Min for L4 is 75k max ive gotten is 125k I’ve never not gotten refreshers
I have been at Adobe for 5 yrs and I have had refreshers each year. I am an average performer. Refreshers depend a lot on org and team and I work for possibly the most important product for Adobe from the revenue perspective, hence the good luck.
Is it something we need to talk with our manager, or by default we are eligible for refreshers ?
Can you tell me which product is most important? Is that adobe sensei?
Any idea guys on how is AEM in terms of refreshers?
No refreshers for AEM consulting
Can you share TC split?
How did you all in Adobe do with refreshers, were they generous or only for top talent? Which Org?
How do they calculate
Unlike other companies, refreshers in Adobe are for retaining top performers. Not everyone gets it. Culture is good, deadlines are soft but a good product is expected at the end. Very much possible to move to em given you demonstrate leadership qualities. You will be asked in every check-in about your career aspirations. You might not get top salary, but will have a good wlb
Not my experience with EM transition, I am actively looking on the outside because management opportunities are very hard to get. Refreshers are big when they happen. Not for all, but top 30% of my team (2 out of 6, myself included) have gotten them every year (typically 50% of eng team gets a refresher any given year)
I am lucky then😜 of course, it would depend on your manager and team.
