I just read there are 2 cases of Coronavirus in San Francisco now. Many companies have told there employees to WFH compulsary that includes LinkedIn, Amazon, Microsoft, square and Twitter. Salesforce sent email if you want to WFH you can asfter asking your manager. Well who would do that, I mean if my whole team is coming I cannot WFH if only I feel unsafe.
I see many people on my floor coughing very badly that makes me feel unsafe. And always feel unsafe using public transport.
I agree many of them says its no need to worry it would calm down but I dont want to take the risk.

Covid-19 is possibly the most contagious of recent pandemics.
Closing offices, borders and supply chains.
Suppose Covid-19 is a dud and most people survive and donโt get that sick. If that is true closing offices would be a bad move. Everyday of lost work costs millions or billions in lost income for big companies.
Suppose Covid-19 is very deadly, this will be very costly.
How many lives are quarterly profits worth?
Profits now could could come at the expense of having major trouble operating as a company in the future.
