Pledge against Slave Labor: Google, FB, AMZ & Apple (hypocrites)
Technically, they do take care of employees but continues to hire third party companies to do the slave labors for them. In the end, they dont care at what these vendors/third party do, as long as it gets the job done. People working for third party companies begins to become just numbers for them, yet openly pledge they wont tolerate these practices— which I find amusing.
These big companies, specifically FB, does not treat temporary workers or commonly knows as contingent workers right. I understand that these problems are not under the company’s responsibility since its technically under the roof of these so called third party companies such as WiPro, Accenture, etc. But if FB, Apple, Amz and etc continues to look at the other way and it does not take these third party companies accountable— isnt it that same with tolerating slave labors?
I am aware of the previous lawsuits that happened between CWs and Microsft in the past, and this is why tech companies should differentiate contractors and FTEs separately. However, it does not mean that we cannot take them accountable for the treatment and low slave labor payment that we give to them. Taking account the stress, and abuses that these workers experience just to keep our platforms safe.
They are all well aware on how these third party companies treat CWs but they dont give a damn. FTEs continue to feel entitled for the benefit that they received while worker under the roof of FB is suffering. We continue to welcome them atnour buildings, but we dont treat them just like how we treat our fellow FTEs. Such a shame and people doesnt care about it.
Disgusting

This is at worst exploitative, but we already have IRS rules that clearly define when someone is just an employee whose been stripped of all benefits and those who are truly independent vendors and contractors, free to work for others.
If you read my post, I also said that I am aware of the distinction between them. What I am saying here is, it doesnt mean that we cant take them accountable of the abuse that they do. We can set better standards for the people that works to improve our services.
