Whiteboard vs coderpad

Jul 6, 2017 4 Comments

I have interviews coming up and the recruiter mentioned I'll have the option of using whiteboard or a laptop (with coderpad editor). What should I use 🤔Anyone else had to make this choice?

The problem with a whiteboard is the inability to add empty space where you need it. By the time you're done, all those insert here arrows make you look as sloppy as seconds, if you know what i mean lolol!!

So yeah, even notepad is better than whiteboard.

  • Awesome. Looks like coderpad is the way to go. Also, did anyone interview with Dropbox recently? I have a bunch of interviews scheduled but Dropbox is the first. Heard their food is amazing btw 😋

They just have a handful of questions they ask. See them via leetcode premium and Glassdoor. Expect them to be mainly about concurrency at the onsite coding rounds- know the primitives and how to use them in your favorite language. It's the only interview loop I've seen that really involves concurrency.
